Last Posting Dates for Christmas 2024
It is advisable to order as early as possible if you are wishing to receive your order before Christmas.
At the very latest, please order by 10am on Thursday, 19th December 2024, to enable time for us to pick, package and post orders before the latest UK posting date for First Class post, as advised by Royal Mail.
We will not be posting orders out between 24th December 2024 and 1st January 2025 inclusive. Normal service will resume on Thursday 2nd January 2025.
Following the introduction of new regulations in the EU relating to the General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR), we are currently unable to ship any orders to Europe OR Northern Ireland. This is sadly outside of our control and until further guidelines are issued, we will not be able to ship to any international destinations.
We aim to dispatch orders in a timely fashion. We typically ship orders on Monday & Thursdays, with a cut off for dispatch on those days of 10am, i.e. orders placed before 10 am on a Monday, will be dispatched that day, and orders placed after 10am may not be dispatched until Thursday. For an order to be dispatched on a Thursday, orders need to have arrived before 10am on a Thursday. When we can, we do also ship on interim weekdays as well. As our mail order department does not open at weekends, orders placed after 10am on a Thursday may not be dispatched until the following Monday. Furthermore, will do not dispatch on Bank Holidays.

Please bear in mind we are a shop and sell our products here as well as on the website. We try our very best to keep a check on stock levels and update our website as often as we can. However, we can get very busy and our fabric turn around can be high on some ranges.
We usually send items via Royal Mail First Class post. If you would like us to send via a tracked service, please contact us before placing your order.

Where we can our packages are sent out as a letter, as per Royal Mail small or large letter dimensions. Unfortunately some items, like bulkier wadding, interfacing, fleece, larger balls of yarn and spools of thread just cannot be fitted into a box <25mm deep and must be sent as a parcel. To cover the postage costs any such items will incur an additional £1 per item (or per metre, or part of) surcharge on the postage prices given above (this will be included in the shipping charges at checkout). If we find we can send your order for less postage and packaging than has been applied, we will not hesitate to refund you the difference. We would much rather contact you with a refund than with a request for additional shipping! If you would like to check on the postage cost before ordering, please do contact us.
Large orders (over 5m) of wadding and fleece may require courier delivery and as such would incur further charges - we will contact you prior to dispatch if this is the case.
Once dispatched, delivery is determined by Royal Mail. Please allow a fortnight (i.e. allow Royal Mail their next working day aim plus 10 working days) before contacting us via email to report orders which may have gone astray as we are unable to replace your order until we have started a Royal Mail claim for a missing item. In the meantime, if you wish to check on your order status, you can do this by clicking on the green "Track Order Status" button in your order confirmation email received after payment has been taken.
