A jelly roll rug is a great project if you are looking for something a little different to do with your jelly rolls. There is no wrapping, braiding, weaving or crocheting. Just pure sewing bliss! What more could you want! Roma Lambson was inspired to create this rug & pattern while admiring antique rugs. She wanted to come up with something that would, of course, be a fun sewing project for all.
The kit contains:
Pattern - The pattern by Roma Lambson to make a colourful area rug from a ‘Jelly-Roll’
Wadding - 1no. roll of Bosal organic cotton blend batting (wadding) 2.5″ x 50 yards. This is enough wadding for a 40 strip jelly roll bundle (or two smaller rugs of 20 strips).
Janome Purple tip needles - These are essential to avoid skipped stitches. They also fit all domestic sewing machines.
The finished rug on the pattern cover is approximately 30" by 44" oval.
Please note that this kit does not include a jelly roll. We have a selection here on our precut page, or alternatively you could use fabric from your stash - for the equivalent of 40no. 2.5" strips you will need 100" of 42-44" width fabric (approximately 2.6m of 108-112cm width fabric).
Unfortunately, as this kit contains sewing machine needles, we can not post it overseas. You can of course still buy the wadding and pattern separately still.
