80% cotton and 20% polyester, with scrim. Super-Soft 80/20 combines the softness and breathability of cotton with the durability and stability of polyester. Excellent for machine quilting. Super-Soft Cotton Wadding is made from high quality ethically manufactured cotton with UltraClean carding used to ensure the removal of all impurities that may tarnish finished quilts or damage machine needles.
Machine or hand quilt up to 10 inches apart.
Pre-washing is not necessary. Once quilted, machine or hand wash using a mild detergent in cold water and dry flat. For machine washing use a delicate cycle and dry naturally.
Up to 5% shrinkage can be expected in the first wash using cold water, this will give your quilt the perfect antique wrinkled look. However, if you do wish to pre-wash, pre-wash by hand only and dry naturally.

When purchasing your wadding, don't forget to allow a little extra - your wadding should be 10-15cm (4-6") greater than your quilt top on each side. This is especially important if you plan to have your quilt long-arm quilted.
